I Tried Every Airwaav Mouthpiece

Here’s What Actually Works

I’ve been an Airwaav affiliate for a while… but until now, I’ve barely said a word about them. That’s not because I didn’t like the gear—I just never made the time to talk about it.

So here it is. No more procrastination.

I personally bought and used all three of Airwaav’s current offerings:

• The PX1 – designed for strength sports

• The PX2 (Endurance) – for more dynamic training

• The Recovery – for nighttime use

I’ve put them through the wringer in real strongman training—static lifts, dynamic events, conditioning circuits, and even sleep (which I treat more seriously than most powerlifters treat chalk). Here’s my no-fluff breakdown.

🔩 Airwaav PX1 – The Strength Sports Staple

If you’re in Strongman, powerlifting, or anything that involves bearing down and lifting heavy things until your soul leaves your body, the PX1 is your new friend.

What I Like:

Rigid bite: You get a solid clench without jaw fatigue.

Wraparound fit: It doesn’t fall out when you’re between sets talking to your training partner about who peaked in high school.

Boil-and-bite fitting: It comes with a QR code for quick instructions. Super easy.

This is the one I grab when I’m squatting, deadlifting, pressing, anything static strength related.

🏃‍♂️ Airwaav PX2 (Endurance) – Built for Movement

The PX2 feels totally different. It’s made from a more flexible rubber-like material, and it has “winged” edges that help it grip your teeth better.

When I Use It:

• Conditioning work (sled pushes, sandbag carries)

• Jumps, athletic drills, even some CrossFit-style work

• Anytime I’m bouncing around and need something to stay locked in

If you found the PX1 uncomfortable or bulky, PX2 is probably your better bet. The bite is softer and it molds better to your teeth without feeling loose.

💤 Airwaav Recovery – Sleep, Don’t Suck

I grind my teeth at night. Have since forever. I’ve had dentist-issued night guards that I’ve woken up halfway across the room. The Airwaav Recovery? Not perfect—but it stays in my mouth and doesn’t make my jaw feel like it went 12 rounds with Tyson.

Airwaav claims added recovery benefits by helping with tongue positioning and airflow. I can’t measure that, but I can say:

• It’s comfortable

• It doesn’t fall out like others

• It keeps my teeth from grinding into powder

Not medical advice. I’m a strongman, not a dentist. But this works better than anything I’ve paid way more for.

🧳 What I Pack for Travel

I always bring the Recovery mouthpiece when I travel. I usually grab either the PX1 or PX2 depending on what training I’m doing while I’m away. And because I’ve used all three consistently, I feel good recommending them to you.

⚙️ Final Thoughts

If you’re serious about your training—and you’re not already using a mouthpiece—you’re leaving performance (and maybe some dental work) on the table.

Airwaav gets my recommendation because:

• It fits well and stays in

• It actually helps under heavy strain

• It’s more comfortable than anything else I’ve tried

No hype, no fluff. Just gear that works.

DISCLAIMER I paid for all my Airwaav products at full price. If you use the links in this article or on my YouTube video I will receive 20% of that sale as a kickback which funds the channel. Thank you for choosing to support!
